Stand tickets for the Connacht GAA Football Senior Championship Semi-Final, Galway v Mayo, Sunday 14th June are sold out. This much anticipated encounter between these rivals has seen big demand on tickets. Patrons attending the games are advised to purchase their tickets in advance of the fixtures.

The game which will be preceded by the Christy Ring Cup Promotion/Relegation play off with Roscommon, 2015 Nicky Rackard Cup Champions, are aiming to replace Mayo in the Christy Ring Cup. These two counties met last year in the Connacht GAA Intermediate Hurling Championship final with Mayo winning 2-12 to 1-11. There is a Galway flavour to both teams as Kiltormer’s Justin Campbell mananges the Roscommon team and is assisted by Noel Larkin from Meelick-Eyrecourt, while on the pitch Jason and Keith Kilkenny(Kiltormer) and Adrian Murphy(Annaghdown) all line out in the primrose and blue. Padraig O’ Flynn and Aidan Connolly from the Castlegar club line out in the Red & Green of Mayo.

Both teams are due to be announced on Thursday, Mayo report no major injury concerns as Galway look to be without Kilkerrin-Clonberne’s Shane Walsh.
