Féile na nGael 2018 Full Fixture List Announced
Connacht GAA would like in conjunction with the Connacht Féile na nGael 2018 committee wish to announce the entire fixture list for the upcoming John West Féile na nGael hurling and Camogie competitions to be hosted from 8th to 10th June by Connacht GAA and assisted by Westmeath and Longford. Once all teams are known a list of fixtures with teams inserted will be forwarded to all clubs.
Games will be played at 64 central venues on Friday evening with 4 teams either hurling or camogie in action. On Saturday morning 128 venues will be in action and following the league stages moves onto quarter final level in cup and shield in the 16 divisions (9 hurling and 7 camogie) on Saturday afternoon. Close on 6000 hurlers and camogie players will play in the John West supported games aided by over 1000 mentors and thousands of home and visiting supporters who will see action in the 2018 John West Féile na nGael Feile hurling and camogie competitions.
Sunday morning sees action at semi final stage with much of the action centering on the 6 pitch complex at the Connacht GAA Centre, Bekan with close on 10,000 spectators expected to attend over the day. There will also be semi final and final action at Pairc Sean MacDiarmada Leitrim, Duggan Park Ballinasloe, Cusack Park Mullingar and Pairc Chiaran, Athlone. One notable inclusion for 2018 will be San Francisco who are taking part in the hurling competition for the first time.
