A special presentation evening was held recently at Boyle GAA to mark the distribution of starter hurling gear packs to five new hurling clubs and hubs across Connacht. The event, hosted by Boyle GAA, celebrated the growth of hurling in the province and welcomed Cregg GAA, Gortletteragh GAA, Tulsk GAA, Ballinamore Seán O’Heslin’s GAA, and Boyle GAA to the Connacht hurling community.
The gear packs, generously provided by the National Hurling Development Committee (HDC), will support these clubs as they begin their journey at Nursery and Go Games level, with training and games set to commence over the winter months.

With 25 of the 28 clubs in the province already participating in a Go Games programme(7–12-year-olds), the addition of these five new clubs represents a 20% increase in participation.
